This update makes the pedigree far more useful for real breeding decisions -- from a clearer family tree to an automatic inbreeding warning before you record a mating.

A Clearer Family Tree

The pedigree view has been rebuilt as a proper genealogy chart.

• Maternal and paternal lines are now unambiguous -- each parent's own parents branch directly off it, with visible connector lines.
• Sex markers (♀ / ♂) on every card, so colour is no longer the only cue.
• Every ancestor and descendant is clickable to jump straight to its own pedigree, and the tree scrolls cleanly on the phone.
• Parents on the animal's Details tab (Location & lineage) are now clickable links too.

Automatic Inbreeding Check

When you choose a dam and a sire in the mating form, Herdy now shows an inbreeding check before you save.

• Predicted inbreeding coefficient (COI) of the offspring, graded from green ("unrelated") to red ("close relatives").
• The shared ancestors driving the result are listed, so you can see why a pairing is risky.
• Purely advisory -- you can still record the mating; it simply helps you avoid unintended close matings.

Progeny Performance

A breeding animal's Breeding tab now summarises how its offspring have performed:

• Progeny count and number of birth events
• Average litter size and live-birth rate
• Average birth weight of the offspring
• Birth-ease breakdown, and -- for dams -- the average mothering score

Siblings & Ancestry Completeness

The pedigree page now also shows:

• Full siblings (same dam and sire) and half siblings (one shared parent), each as a clickable card.
• An ancestry-completeness indicator in the header, so you can see at a glance how much of the family tree is known and where to fill gaps.

Downloadable Pedigree Certificate

• A "Download certificate" button generates a printable pedigree certificate (PDF) with the animal's identity, its inbreeding coefficient, and its ancestors by generation -- ideal for breeding organisations or when selling breeding stock.

Behind the Scenes

• Herdy now prevents impossible parentage -- an animal can no longer be recorded as its own ancestor, keeping the pedigree and the new inbreeding maths reliable.
