What is Herdy?
Herdy is digital herd management for Swiss sheep, goat, cattle and pig farmers. The app replaces paper lists, stable books and the detour through the authorities' portals with a single application.
In the barn, on the pasture or at the kitchen table: Herdy works just as well on a phone as on a computer.
What can Herdy do?
Animals
Your whole herd, digitally. Every animal has a profile with ear tag, breed, lineage, location and history. You record animals individually, import them from the TVD or read in a CSV file. See Register animals.
Calendar
Every dated entry of your farm in one view: due dates, heat and pregnancy checks, expiring withdrawal periods, due vaccinations, foot baths, care follow-ups and ration changeovers. See Calendar.
TVD notifications
Your mandatory notifications to the livestock traffic database straight from Herdy: birth, arrival, departure and death. Herdy reminds you before a deadline expires and shows overdue notifications as a red counter. See TVD notifications.
Summer pasture
Plan alp seasons, hand animals over, record requests and events, and trigger the matching TVD notifications. This module is unlocked per farm. See Alpine summering.
Health
Your treatment journal under the TAMV: medications, vaccinations, dewormings and health events. Herdy calculates withdrawal periods automatically, doubles them on organic farms and shows which animals are blocked. On top of that come the exercise log for RAUS and BTS as well as foot-rot control. See Record treatments.
Care & Welfare
Notes with follow-ups, body condition (BCS), shearing and FAMACHA. See Care & Welfare.
Feeding

Who is Herdy for?
Herdy is for everyone keeping sheep, goats, cattle or pigs in Switzerland, from the hobby farm with a handful of animals to the breeding operation with a large herd. Mixed farms manage every species in one app.
You need no technical background. If you can operate a smartphone, you can use Herdy.
Note on pigs: Managing pigs in Herdy is fully available. Swiss pigs have no individual identity in the TVD, so notifications are sent as batch notifications with a head count. We unlock those notifications per farm as soon as the Agate authorisation is in place.
How to start
Herdy is an annual subscription. You test it for 7 days free of charge and without a credit card: the trial starts automatically as soon as you have created a farm. Every feature is open; only sending TVD notifications unlocks with the subscription.
