Overview
The Reports section sums up what you have recorded day to day: how your herd is made up, what happened to individual animals, which TVD notifications were sent and how the young stock is growing.
Every report reads data that is already in Herdy. Nothing is filed, nothing is stored and nothing is sent to the TVD.
Requirements
- Your role needs access to the Reports module.
- The Weight tab only appears if you also have access to Breeding & Production, because that is where the weighings the analysis uses are recorded.
The tabs in Reports
There are five tabs at the top of the page:
Overview
Stat cards and charts for the current herd: number of animals, distribution by species and breed, age structure, and births and losses over the last twelve months. See Herd Overview.
Movements
The Movement history page: every recorded event in your herd in chronological order, from status changes to treatments to shearing, filterable by animal, event type, person and date range. See Movement History.
TVD log
The complete log of all TVD notifications, in an operational day-to-day view and in an audit view with timestamps and reference numbers. See TVD Notification Log.
Weight
Weight analysis by age class and breed, including daily live-weight gain. See Weight Analysis.
Fertility
This tab leads into the Breeding & Production module, because that is where the underlying figures are recorded. It is described under Fertility.
Exporting as CSV or PDF
Each of the four report pages has an Export options button at the top right, with two choices:
- Download CSV gives you the figures as a table using the semicolon as separator, ready for Excel or LibreOffice.
- Download PDF produces a landscape document with a title and the line «Exported on», that is, the date you created it.
The file name always carries the export date, for example bewegungen_2026-09-05.csv.
Important with long lists: on the movement history and the TVD log, only the page currently on screen is exported, that is 30 or 50 rows. If you need more, narrow the list with the filters first, for example to one animal or one month, and export after that.
What you use the reports for
- Inspection by the cantonal veterinarian: the TVD log in audit view, exported as PDF, shows exactly which notification was submitted when and when it was confirmed.
- Visit from the vet: the movement history, filtered to one animal, gives you that animal's whole story on one sheet.
- Herd planning: the overview shows age structure and breed shares, the weight analysis shows which young animals are falling behind.
