Overview
Herdy is an annual subscription billed in CHF. Until the end of 2026 the launch price applies -- from 1 January 2027 the regular prices take effect. The first 100 paying farms (Founding-100) keep the launch price permanently.
All prices can be paid in Switzerland -- TWINT is pre-selected at checkout by default.
The three subscription tiers

"Active animals ≥ 6 months" counts all animals on your farm that are at least 6 months old -- lambs and kids under 6 months are therefore not counted. The calculation is done automatically from the TVD data.
Capacity add-ons
If you fall between two tiers -- for example 270 animals on a Pro subscription -- there are capacity add-ons:
- Pro +50 animals -- CHF 50 / year
- Pro+ +100 animals -- CHF 50 / year
This way you only pay for what you actually need and do not have to jump straight to the next tier.
7-day trial without a credit card
You can try Herdy in full for 7 days -- without a credit card and without any payment obligation.

- TVD synchronisation works inbound (reading data from the TVD)
- Sending TVD notifications for your farm is locked during the trial -- this is unlocked with the first subscription
- On days 4, 6, and 8 you receive automatic reminder emails
- If you do not subscribe, your data is kept for 90 days as a draft -- you can therefore start the subscription later without re-entering everything
Founding-100
The first 100 paying farms join the Founding-100 cohort:
- Lifetime price lock -- the launch price applies to you permanently, even from 2027
- Founding-100 badge in your app
- As long as you are a paying customer, the price does not change
- On the public pricing page (
/preise) you can see the current counter -- as long as slots are still available, you secure the lock with your first subscription
Tip: Founding-100 status is created with the first paid invoice, not at trial start. If you let the 7-day trial run, the slot is therefore not yet reserved.
Billing and renewal
- Billing cycle -- all subscriptions are aligned to 15 February (renewal anchor). This means renewal always falls in a quiet period of the farm year.
- Payment methods -- TWINT (default), credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Invoices -- sent by email and downloadable in the Billing area of your profile
- Cancellation -- at any time at the end of the current period via the billing page or by email
Changing your subscription
- Upgrade -- possible at any time; the difference is charged on a pro-rata basis
- Downgrade -- takes effect at the next renewal; until then you keep the current tier
- Book / cancel a capacity add-on -- possible at any time; pro-rata billing as with a tier change
Cap meter and upgrade prompts
In the dashboard you always see your current cap usage as a progress bar. As you approach the limit, Herdy displays prompts -- at the latest 30 days before reaching the cap you receive an email reminder. When you try to register the 51st (or 251st / 501st) animal, an upgrade dialog appears.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I do not subscribe after the trial? Your data is kept for 90 days as a draft. If you subscribe later, you pick up seamlessly where you left off. After 90 days the data is deleted.
Can I register animals under 6 months without increasing the cap tier? Yes -- young animals under 6 months do not count toward the cap. Once an animal turns 6 months old, it is counted.
What happens if I subscribe before the end of 2026 -- does the price stay permanently? No, only Founding-100 members have the lifetime price lock. Other launch-price customers pay the regular price from 2027.
Which tier do I need? Count your animals ≥ 6 months. Up to 50: Starter. Up to 250: Pro. Up to 500: Pro+. Over 500: Pro+ with capacity add-ons, or contact us for individual solutions.
