Alpine grazing operations

The Sömmerung subsidy of twenty farms depends on the reports you file.

Herdy keeps them — arrivals and departures per Bestösser, reconciled, within the three working days. Along with accompanying documents, the treatment, feed and pasture journals, and the Alpabrechnung. For Alpkorporationen, Alpgenossenschaften and Bürgergemeinden.

Billed by invoice. No credit card, no subscription click.

The report is not the paperwork behind the subsidy. Since 2024, the report is the subsidy.

Subsidy rates per the Direktzahlungsverordnung (DZV), Federal Office for Agriculture; range for sheep alps of roughly 30 to 150 Normalstösse. Reporting deadlines per the Swiss animal movement database ordinance. Last verified on 6 August 2026.

The Auftrieb, in four steps.

01

Assemble the group

Record one Bestösser's animals as a group — or carry it over from last year.

02

Choose the alp

Your alp is stored as a location, with its TVD number. Set up once, there again every year.

03

Confirm

Herdy shows you what is going out before it goes out: which animals, which farm, which date.

04

Process

Departure and arrival reports go to the TVD as one batch. The confirmations come back, animal by animal.

At the Auftrieb

Expected 47 · arrived 45 · 2 missing.

You keep your list by farm, not by animal. So does Herdy. For each Bestösser you see how many animals were announced, how many arrived and which are missing — with their ear tag numbers. The reconciliation is done before the deadline runs, not three weeks later at the kitchen table.

  • A list per Bestösser, with expected and actual
  • Missing and additional animals named by ear tag number
  • Staggered arrivals across several days, without the count falling apart
  • Deadlines tracked per Bestösser, not in bulk for the alp
  • Accompanying document as a PDF, including the mandatory veterinary declaration
  • Treatment journal per TAMV for the animals on the alp
  • Feed journal and pasture journal for the season
  • Alpabrechnung per Bestösser, from the animals and days recorded
  • Complete export as CSV and PDF for the board and the audit
Everything else that comes up

Accompanying document, journals, Abrechnung.

An alp is not a farm with a herd — an alp is a season with paperwork. Herdy keeps it as a season: everything belonging to this summer stays together and is still there in October.

What Herdy cannot do for an alp today.

01

Your Bestösser do not have to take part

There is no two-sided reconciliation between the alp and the home farm today — it is not built. Your lists, your accompanying documents and your Abrechnung still work in full, whatever your Bestösser use.

02

Goat arrivals go through the portal

The TVD has deactivated the arrival report for goats at the interface. For goats you continue to report the arrival in Agate. Everything else goes through Herdy.

03

No recording without a signal

On the alp you often have no coverage. Herdy needs a connection to record. The work this page is about — reports, accompanying documents, Abrechnung — you do where there is a signal anyway.

04

The staff change, the season stays

You grant access per person, with permissions. When the herder changes, the access changes — the alp's data stays with the alp.

A quote for your alp

Tell us briefly how large the alp is and how many Bestösser you have. You get a quote you can put on the table at the meeting.

  • Name of the alp or Korporation, canton, and your role — Alpmeister, board member, treasurer
  • Normalstösse, approximately. If you do not know exactly: an estimate is enough.
  • Number of Bestösser
  • Species: sheep, goats, cattle or mixed
  • That you need a QR invoice and not a card payment
  • When your board decides: spring assembly, another meeting, or still open

We reply within two working days. No credit card, no subscription click — you receive a quote on paper or as a PDF.
