Your animal data sits in Zurich. Not in the USA.

Who can see your figures, what Herdy sends to the TVD and how you can leave at any time — on one page, without certificate logos.

Where the data sits

A data centre in Zurich, not «the cloud».

Your animals, your treatments, your reports and your journals sit in a data centre in Zurich. Not in Frankfurt, not in Ireland, not in Virginia. That holds for production and for our test environment alike. Inoo GmbH is a Swiss company based in Altstätten SG; contracts run under Swiss law and the invoice comes in francs.

  • Data stored in Zurich
  • Swiss company, Swiss law, invoiced in CHF
  • Transmission encrypted (TLS)
  • Sign-in through your Agate login — your Agate password never sits with us
Data sovereignty

Only what you trigger goes to the TVD.

Herdy reports nothing on its own. A report goes out when you send it — and you see beforehand what is in it. Whatever else you keep in Herdy stays in Herdy: weights, notes, feeding, breeding data, your own analyses. None of it is passed to an authority, to an association or to a third party.

  • No automatic transmission — every report is triggered by you
  • Complete log: which report, when, with which confirmation number
  • No sharing with associations, buyers or advertising partners
  • No analysis of your farm data for other customers

And if Herdy were no longer around?

A fair question to ask of a young product. We are not promising you that we will still be here in twenty years — nobody can. What we can give you is independence: you export your data completely as CSV and PDF at any time, and your herd is recorded in the animal movement database anyway. You are never in the position where ten years of farm history hang on our survival.

How you can tell the work is happening: twelve releases in ten months, each one dated in the changelog.

Common questions about data and security

Only the reports you send yourself — and you would have to make those anyway, whether with Herdy or by hand in Agate. No authority sees anything else.
