From the Rhine Valley. For the barn.

Herdy is built by Inoo GmbH in Altstätten SG — a small Swiss software studio that would rather listen than sell.

Why Herdy exists

A TVD report shouldn't take half an hour.

Herdy grew out of conversations with sheep and goat farmers in our neighbourhood. Always the same story: notes on paper in the barn, typed up again in the evening, and reporting deadlines carried around in your head — until one slips through.

We build software for a living. So we built the herd management we wanted for these farms: connected directly to the TVD, and simple enough for the whole family to help.

The company

Inoo is the team behind Herdy.

Inoo GmbH is a digital and AI studio from the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. We build websites, custom software and AI solutions for companies across German-speaking Switzerland — and our own products alongside. Herdy is the one closest to our hearts.

Inoo is deliberately small: led by Pascal Eugster, backed by a network of specialists when a project needs more hands. For Herdy that means short paths, fast decisions, and a product with a real person — name and phone number — standing behind it.

Day to day that means: websites and web shops, customer portals and booking systems, bespoke business tools — and AI that quietly handles the routine: reading documents, drafting text, automating workflows. We see projects through from the first idea via design and development to running them in production — and stay reachable afterwards.

“Small, personal, technically clean — that's how we work on client projects. And that's exactly how we build Herdy.”

How we work

Three things you can rely on.

01

One person to talk to

Call us and you speak with the person who actually builds Herdy. No hotline, no ticket numbers, no hold music.

02

Data in Zurich

Your animal data sits in a data centre in Zurich, not in the US. Contracts under Swiss law, invoices in francs. The data belongs to you — and you can take it out again at any time.

03

Built close to the farm

Herdy is built together with real farms, not in a vacuum at a desk. Whatever doesn't work in the barn gets cut.

How you can tell work is being done

Twelve releases in ten months. Every one of them dated.

We ship every two to four weeks and write down every change — in German, French, Italian and English. That is not a marketing promise, it is a list you can read back and watch grow older.

A Smarter Pedigree -- Inbreeding Check, Siblings & Certificates

The pedigree view has been rebuilt for clarity, and breeding planning gets serious help: an automatic inbreeding check when you pair a dam and sire, progeny-performance figures, full and half siblings, an ancestry-completeness indicator, and a downloadable pedigree certificate.
